Privacy policy

The short version: we collect your email only if you choose to give it to us, we use it only to send you what you asked for plus the occasional pattern update, and we never sell it. The longer version is below.

Who we are

CrochetBerry (“we,” “us”) runs crochetberry.com, where we publish crochet patterns and sell pattern books. If you have any question about your data, email hello@crochetberry.com.

What we collect

  • Your email address — only if you sign up for the free starter kit or our newsletter. We also store which list you joined and when.
  • Order details — if you buy a pattern book, our checkout provider processes your payment. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Anonymous usage stats— we use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to count page views and see which patterns are popular. It doesn’t track you across sites or build a profile of you.
  • A single browser setting— we store one value in your browser’s local storage to remember that you dismissed the announcement bar. That never leaves your device.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Ever.
  • We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
  • We don’t email you things you didn’t sign up for.

Who processes your data

To actually run the site we rely on a few trusted providers: an email platform to store our list and send newsletters, a checkout provider to take payments, and a hosting provider to serve the pages. Each only receives the data it needs to do its job, and each is bound by its own privacy commitments.

Your choices and rights

  • Unsubscribe any time — every email has a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom.
  • See or delete your data— email us and we’ll show you what we hold and delete it on request.
  • Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA), you may have additional rights over your data. We honour those — just ask.

Children

CrochetBerry isn’t aimed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we’ll update this page and the “last updated” date above. For the terms that govern using the site and patterns, see our terms of use.
