The legal-ish bit
Terms of use
Crochet is meant to be shared, so these terms are deliberately friendly. The heart of it: the finished things you make are yours; the written patterns themselves stay ours.
Last updated: July 16, 2026
Using our patterns
You’re welcome to use CrochetBerry patterns — free or paid — to make items for yourself, for gifts, and to sell in reasonable quantities at markets or your own small shop. We’d love a credit (“pattern by CrochetBerry”) when you post a finished make, but it’s not required.
What you can’t do
- Copy, resell, share, or republish the written patterns, photos, or PDFs themselves — including translating or reformatting them.
- Claim a CrochetBerry pattern as your own design, or pass off our photos as yours.
- Mass-produce items from our patterns in a factory setting. These are for makers, not production lines.
In short: sell the scarves you crochet, not the pattern for the scarf. The patterns, text, images, and the CrochetBerry name and logo are our intellectual property.
Free patterns and paid books
Free patterns are free to follow online and may change or be retired over time. Paid pattern books are licensed to you for personal use once purchased. Because digital patterns are delivered instantly and can’t be “returned,” sales are generally final — but if a file is faulty or you were charged in error, email hello@crochetberry.comand we’ll make it right.
Accuracy and your results
We test every pattern before publishing (here’s how we test them), but yarn, tension, and hooks vary, so we can’t guarantee your finished size or that a pattern is entirely free of typos. Patterns are provided “as is” for your personal crafting enjoyment. Spotted a mistake? Tell us and we’ll fix it.
Links to other sites
We sometimes link to yarn brands or tools we like. We’re not responsible for the content or policies of sites we don’t run.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site grows; the “last updated” date above always reflects the current version. See also our privacy policy.
